How to use EDATE and EOMONTH in Excel with Example Download
When it comes to the date in excel sometimes we want to shift the date forward or backward by months then EDATE and EOMONTH are the formulas to consider. EDATE in Excel
EDATE Returns the date forward or backward by the number of months before or after a specified date (the start_date).FORMULA:
= EDATE(start_date, months)
◾ Start_date: Required. A date that represents the start date
◾ Months: Required. The number of months before or after start_date.
EOMONTH in Excel
EOMONTH returns the date with the last day of the month by the number of months before or after start_date.FORMULA:
= EOMONTH(start_date, months)
◾ Start_date: Required. A date that represents the start date
◾ Months: Required. The number of months before or after start_date.
